Biography
I am a final-year doctoral student in the Department of Computer Science at Texas State University focusing on Eye-Tracking. I am pursuing my Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Oleg Komogortsev at Texas State University.
Currently, my research revolves around eye tracking, eye-movement biometrics, and signal processing.
PhD Timeline
- March 2025 - Our paper, Evaluating Eye Tracking Signal Quality with Real-time Gaze Interaction Simulation: A Study Using an Offline Dataset has been accepted as a Short Paper in the ETRA 2025.
- November 2024 - I have defended my dissertation proposal.
- August 2024 - Received TXST Graduate College Scholarship.
- June 2024 - I have presented my work (both orally and a Poster) titled Signal vs Noise in Eye-tracking Data: Biometric Implications and Identity Information Across Frequencies at ETRA 2024 in Glasgow, UK.
- March 2024 - The paper titled Signal vs Noise in Eye-tracking Data: Biometric Implications and Identity Information Across Frequencies is accepted on ETRA 2024 in Glasgow, UK.
- October 2023 - Our manuscript titled Determining Which Sine Wave Frequencies Correspond to Signal and Which Correspond to Noise in Eye-Tracking Time-Series got accepted in Journal of Eye Movement Research.
- August 2023 - Our manuscript titled Filtering Eye-Tracking Data from an EyeLink 1000: Comparing Heuristic, Savitzky-Golay, IIR and FIR Digital Filters got accepted in Journal of Eye Movement Research.
- August 2023 - Received TXST Doctoral Retention Scholarship.
- April 2023 - Received 2023 TXST Computer Science Research Excellence Award.
- Oct. 2022 - Attended the IJCB Doctoral Consortium.
- Sept. 2022 - Passed the Ph.D. Qualifying Exam.
- Aug. 2022 - Started teaching Foundations of Computer Science I (till May 2024).
- April 2022 - Received 2022 TXST Computer Science Research Excellence Award.
- April 2022 - Presented a live biometric demonstration titled Demonstrating Eye Movement Biometrics in Virtual Reality at ETRA 2022 in Seattle, WA, USA.
- March 2022 - Presented a live biometric demonstration titled Eye Movements in Mixed Reality: Biometrics and Health Assessment at TXST Innovation Lab at SXSW22 in Austin, TX, USA.
- Feb. 2022 - The paper titled Iris Print Attack Detection using Eye Movement Signals got accepted on ETRA 2022 in Seattle, USA.
- April 2021 - The paper titled MUMAP: Modified Ultralightweight Mutual Authentication protocol for RFID enabled IoT networks is published at JIIAE.
- Jan. 2021 - I enrolled at Texas State University as a Doctoral student and joined OK Lab (Human-Computer Interaction Lab).
